Council President Brossard:
Sure.
Councilman Limpert:
First off, Congratulations to Mr. Glassburn, and I think it's been said by many, but I'm looking
forward to have you work, I can't believe you had to put all that effort just to get away from
sitting next to me, but I'm sure it was well worth the effort. Then also, be careful. I have two
kids running for Student Council right now, so they're coming for you in about 20 years. Okay,
and with all that levity, I also want to thank the community and the Arts Commission for
coordinating the mural. It's very nice when we can come together as a community and drive
something to recognize for something that is such a tragic event. So thank you to the Arts
Commission and the Administration for working all of that to at least recognize the family. That
concludes my personal privilege comments. Thank you.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you. Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings
Committee, do you have a report this evening?
Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings Committee
Councilwoman Hemann:
I do not, but if I may have a moment of personal privilege, please.
Council President Brossard:
Yes.
Councilwoman Hemann:
Thank you. Mayor Jones, I've seen that mural. It's gorgeous, and our Arts Commission did a very
great job in securing that for us. It still is hard to go through that parking lot some days, so
please thank them when you see them. Councilman Glassburn, it was a pleasure to work for
you. It was a lot of fun. Congratulations.
Councilman Glassburn:
Thank you.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you. Speaking of Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee, do you
have a report this evening?
11-06-24 Council Meeting Minutes - Page 6
