Ms. Furyes:
Cook Road. The people that are up toward Fitch coming down, they can't see us. They can't see
my house, his house, and several of the other houses. There needs to be some sort of
something where we can see them, and they can see us. When they come down off of Lorain
Road, they're roaring until they get to that dip because they can't see what's over that dip. This
goes on all the time. Thank you.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you.
Safety Director Scofield:
In that case, because this is the first time I'm hearing about that, I'll get with our Service
Director and our City Engineer, and we'll take a look at that part of the roadway and see if there
can't be any improvements made to that.
...[inaudible from audience]
Council President Brossard:
Sir. Thank you. Thank you, Jennifer.
Ms. Cehelnik:
Also, too, I was thinking if you need addresses or models or makes, I have those for you. I know
where some of these people live that have gone zooming up and down the street. If you need
that, we have... some of us that follow them. We know where some of these people live and
they're not far away. Some of them are right on MacKenzie and some of them are literally
around the corner on Windsor. Not a lot of this is not the car dealership. Some of it is the car
dealership but a lot of it is not. A lot of it is the punks just zooming up and down. A lot of them
live in the Oakwood Estates. Gino had a bottle thrown at him because he wasn't driving fast
enough down the street and he went to turn in his driveway. Like he said, I guess he wasn't
going fast enough, he threw a bottle right out the window and hit his car as he was trying to
pull in his driveway. He sat in the driveway for a couple of minutes and then he followed him
and the guy went into Oakwood Estates. There's some down there. There's some on Windsor
right around the corner. There's one on MacKenzie.... [inaudible]
Ms. Hill:
Hi, I'm Mary Hill. I live at 547 MacKenzie Road. I'm the first house on MacKenzie and I know that
when they turn up from Lorain, they go like bat out of hell. They are going so fast and I
wondered, can we have like a sign that shows be careful children at play, whatever. And also,
this is my personal experience since I'm the first house. I'm trying to get out of my driveway one
morning and I'm into the lane but I stopped to make sure that the guy was going to stop. There
were three cars. The guy went around me. Three people went around me, they were headed to
the red light. Finally the fourth one let me out and I had to laugh because I went behind him
and they were at a red light. So I think, I don't know how we get people to be polite but I think
like some sort of a sign to let people know that we have children on MacKenzie.
