10. Family Day Care, Type A. A permanent residence of the Day Care provider in which <br />child day care or publicly funded child day care is provided for seven to twelve <br />children at one time, or a permanent residence of the provider in which child day <br />care is provided for four (4) to twelve (12) children at one time if four or more <br />children at one time are under two (2) years of age. In counting children for the <br />purposes of this definition, any children under six (6) years of age who are related <br />to a licensee, administrator, or employee and who are on the premises of the type -A <br />home shall be counted. It does not include a residence in which the needs of the <br />children are being administered to if all of the children whose needs are being <br />administered to are siblings of the same immediate family and the residence is the <br />home of the siblings. <br />11. Family Day Care, Type B. A permanent residence of the day care provider in which <br />child day care is provided for one (1) to six (6) children at one time. No more than <br />three (3) of these children shall be under two years of age at one time. It does not <br />include a residence in which the needs of the children are being administered to if <br />all of the children whose needs are being administered to are siblings of the same <br />immediate family and the residence is the home of the siblings. <br />12. Manufacturing, Artisan. The on -site production, display, and sale of hand -fabricated <br />or hand -manufactured parts and custom or craft consumer goods based on the <br />skill and knowledge of the artisan and the use of hand tools or small-scale light <br />mechanical equipment. This can include, but is not limited to, the custom production <br />of artisan products such as apparel, cabinetry, glass working, jewelry making, metal <br />working, pottery, sculpture, wood working, and leather working. <br />13. Manufacturing, Technology. The research, design, and production of electronics, <br />biomedical devices, scientific instruments, advanced materials, and other advanced <br />technological products that require highly skilled employees and technical expertise <br />as well as dedicated laboratory space, clean rooms, or other specialized space or <br />equipment for production. <br />14. Pedestrian Light. A pole, bollard, or wall mounted light used to illuminate a sidewalk, <br />pedestrian path, storefront, plaza or other pedestrian area. <br />15. Pedestrian Zone. The portion of the sidewalk between building frontages and <br />the street meant for pedestrian movement and the placement of benches, trash <br />receptacles, lamp posts, wayfinding signage, planters, banners and other street <br />furniture, landscaping, and accessories meant to cater to pedestrians. <br />16. Primary Street. A public or private street identified by the applicant as a main or <br />major road for a building or development site for the purposes of administering <br />site development standards of this chapter.
