C. The location, quantity, size at planting and at maturity, and names, both <br />botanical and common, of all proposed planting materials, including ground <br />cover. <br />d. Location and function of water quality features such as raingardens, bioswales, <br />or vegetated bioretention cells, including substrates, flow, grading, and plant <br />material. <br />e. Any other information and data deemed necessary and requested by the <br />Economic & Community Development Director. <br />4. Maintenance Plan Required. A Maintenance Plan shall be submitted for all <br />landscaping, streetscaping and open space in the entire development site. The <br />Maintenance Plan shall describe how the landscaping, streetscaping, and open <br />space will be maintained and who will be responsible for ensuring their long-term <br />maintenance to the standards of this Chapter. <br />D. Landscaping and Plant Material. <br />1. Landscaping, Generally, Landscaping, such as ornamental trees, flowering shrubs, <br />and perennials should be used to define project boundaries, enhance drives and <br />other points of ingress/egress, define public entrances to buildings, soften walls and <br />fences, and line foundations. <br />2. Existing Natural Features. Landscaping should seek to incorporate and protect <br />existing natural features, especially important stands of trees, plant communities, <br />wetlands, and riparian zones. <br />3. Disturbed Areas. All areas disturbed by grading that are not built upon, paved, or <br />retained as a natural area shall contain sod, be seeded, or defined as a landscape <br />planting bed with approved vegetation, ground covers, shrubbery and trees with a <br />mulch cover, unless specifically approved as part of the overall Landscape Plan. <br />4. Type, Quality, and Appropriateness. <br />All plant materials shall be hardy to Cuyahoga County, as identified by the most <br />recent USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map, and free of disease and insects. See <br />Appendix A "Tree and Plant Lists" of this Planning and Zoning Code for a list of <br />desirable and acceptable species. <br />b. No invasive or undesirable species shall be permitted. See Appendix A Tree and <br />Plant Lists for a list of desired and prohibited trees and plants. The Economic <br />& Community Development Director may also identify additional undesirable <br />plant species that are prohibited based on consultation with appropriate <br />landscape, agriculture, and horticulture professionals. <br />3n NORTH OLMSTED MALL AREA MIXED USE OVERLAY DISTRICT <br />
