6. Planting, Installation. and Maintenance. <br />a. Trees: <br />Size: At the time of planting, large shade trees and small ornamental trees <br />shall be a minimum height of eight feet (8') and a minimum caliper of <br />three inches (3"). Evergreen trees shall be at least seven feet (7') in height. <br />All trees shall be properly guyed, wrapped and mulched, and planted <br />in a method that meets or exceeds ISA standards and conforms to the <br />approved Streetscape Plan. <br />iii. Planting cages and burlap wrappings shall be removed. <br />b. All shrubs must be at least two feet (2') in height at time of planting. <br />C. Tree preservation and protection shall be in accordance with Chapter 950 <br />Preservation and Tree Management of the the City of North Olmsted Code of <br />Ordinances. <br />d. Maintenance: <br />The owner of the premises shall be responsible for the maintenance, <br />repair, and replacement of all landscaping materials to the specifications <br />of the approved landscape plan. <br />ii. All landscaping materials shall be maintained in good condition so as to <br />present a healthy, neat, and orderly appearance. <br />iii. Performance and maintenance bonds shall be furnished to the City for all <br />landscaping requirements in accordance with Chapter 1101.04. <br />e. Amendments to the Approved Landscape Plan. Landscaping plans may be <br />amended pursuant to process laid out in Section 1126.08 Amendments to <br />Development Plan. <br />E. Public Open Space Standards. <br />Public Open Space Required. Developments on sites of one (1) acre or larger shall <br />dedicate at least fifteen percent (15%) of the site to Public Open Space. <br />Sites located within six hundred feet (600') of an existing, publicly owned <br />open space that provides comparable or greater recreational or open space <br />amenities shall dedicate 10% of the site to Public Open Space. <br />2. Size. Except for pedestrian streets or passages, at no point shall any open space <br />area measure less than thirty-five feet (35') in width or length. Pedestrian streets or <br />passages shall be a minimum of twenty feet (20') wide. <br />Q NORTH OLMSTED MALL AREA MIXED USE OVERLAY DISTRICT <br />
