The Finance Committee concluded at 7:11 p.m. and that concludes my <br />report, Mr. President. Thank you. <br />Council President Brossard: <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist, Chairwoman of the Streets and Transportation Committee, do you <br />have a report this evening? <br />Streets and Transportation Committee <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist: <br />Yes, I do, Mr. President. Thank you. The Streets and Transportation Committee met on <br />November 25, 2025, at 7:46 p.m. in the Caucus Room. Present were Council President Brossard, <br />Committee Members Gilchrist and Madden, Council Members Limpert, Marrie, Scarl, and <br />Shymske, the Mayor, the Law Director, the Finance Director, the HR Director, the Economic <br />Director, the Service Director, the Recreation Director, and the Chief of Staff and guests. The <br />purpose of the meeting was to discuss Resolution 2025-107, Street Resurfacing Bid, Resolution <br />2025-108, Cracksealing Bid, Resolution 2025-109, Pavement Marking Bid, and Ordinance 2025- <br />117, LPA ODOT Agreement. <br />• The meeting started with discussion on Resolution 2025-107, a Resolution authorizing <br />the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt <br />resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets, as detailed in the specifications on file <br />with the City Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. The Economic <br />Director, Director Upton, explained that Resolution 2025-107 is a part of our annual <br />street resurfacing program. The street rating analysis completed in 2023, and the street <br />condition prioritizing pavement conditions was utilized to determine the streets that <br />would undergo asphalt resurfacing. Next year, the City Engineer, Mr. Filarski, explained <br />that the total cost of the street resurfacing will be $1.831 million, but we are getting <br />12-02-25 Council Meeting Minutes -Page 7 <br />
