Councilman Limpert: Mr. President, that concludes my report. Council President Brossard: Thank you. [inaudible comments from the audience] Sir, you will need to wait until public comment, it's coming up shortly. All right, Councilwoman Hemann, Chairwoman of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee, do you have a report this evening? Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee Councilwoman Hemann: I do have a report. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The Recreation, Public Parks, and Buildings Committee met on December 9, 2025. The meeting started at 7:28 p.m. Present were Committee Members Hemann, Limpert, and Scarl. Councilwoman Gilchrist, Councilmen Madden, Marie, the Mayor, the Law Director, the Economic Development Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, Chief of Staff, and Councilwoman Ward 4 Elect Maureen Carr. • Discussed was Resolution 2025-123, a Resolution authorizing the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Springvale dredging project. As detailed in specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor following approval by the Board of Control to enter into a contract for same with the lowest and best bidder. Director Pinchek explained that the dredging of ponds at Springvale is an annual process and project, and that this year it will be for the pond located at the first hole, and at the small pond in the back of the golf course, is anticipated to cost approximately $50,000. Chairwoman Hemann made a motion to recommend to all of Council 2025-123, seconded by Mr. Scarl. That motion passed 3-0, and the meeting concluded at 7:32, and that might have been my shortest committee report. May I have the privilege, please? Council President Brossard: Of course. Councilwoman Hemann: Thank you. So 12 years is a long time. Yeah, Lou and I, our first meeting wasn't so great. We ended up great. I think that that says a lot about all of my colleagues. I'd like to thank the Mayor. We've been through a lot. A lot of positions for you. A lot of committees for me. All of the Directors. To Director Copfer, I want you to know I love Aunt Sally's scone recipe. I do have to commend Councilwoman Elect Carr for having won first place for her scone recipe at Casey's Irish Imports, so I don't know. We might have two now in the mix. But I would like to thank all of the Directors for their guidance, all of my Council colleagues for their help, support, and arguments on issues, but most of all for their hard work and camaraderie to work together for the benefit of my Ward 4 residents and all of the residents of North Olmsted.
