Councilman Marrie, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee, <br />do you have a report this evening? <br />Building, Zoning and Development Committee <br />Councilman Marrie: <br />Yes, I do. Thank you very much. The Building, Zoning, and Development Committee met on <br />Tuesday, March 24th at 7:10 p.m. Present were Committee Members Marrie, Madden, and <br />Limpert, Council President Brossard, Council Members Carr, Gilchrist, and Scarl, the Mayor, <br />Directors of Law, Finance, HR, Service, the Chief of Staff, and guests. <br />• Our agenda included Resolution 2026-7, a Resolution approving the Mayor to enter into <br />a Joint Economic Development District, otherwise known as a JEDD, a contract between <br />North Olmsted and Olmsted Township. The Mayor gave a brief overview of the JEDD, <br />which is a partnership that promotes economic development and collaboration, <br />allowing the city to collect income tax in a designated township area while the township <br />retains property taxes. The project is at the intersection of Stearns and Bagley and is <br />estimated at approximately $16 million in investment and includes a gas station, <br />McDonald's, Aldi, additional commercial space, and 56 residential units.
