I've increased the enforcement and compliance efforts of North Olmsted's admissions tax. This
has resulted in payments in 2026 totaling $69,000.00 to our general fund. I also believe this
increased compliance will lead to about $47,000 per year in increased revenue to our general
fund.
have begun a comprehensive review of our banking and investment relationships. This has
already produced measurable improvements, including increased interest earnings and
reduction in bank fees. I will continue this process to ensure we are maximizing returns and
minimizing unnecessary costs. I have also reviewed key vendor relationships and negotiated
reductions in projected annual cost increases. In some cases, I've secured temporary price
freezes. These changes will reduce the 2027 department expenditures and support long-term
cost control, and that concludes my report.
Council President Brossard:
Thank you. Moving into Council Committee reports.
Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health, and Welfare Committee. Do you
have a report this evening?
Councilman Limpert:
Thank you, Mr. President. I do not have a report, but based on our Caucus Meeting this evening,
there's Ordinance 2026-68, that's before us tonight on first reading, that suspension is being
requested.
So, therefore, I'd like to make an amendment to change the dollar amount of the grant to the
number $35,300.61, and ask for a second.
Councilman Shymske:
Second.
Council President Brossard:
Motion to amend Ordinance 2026-68 made by Councilman Limpert, seconded by Councilman
Shymske. Roll call, please.
