Councilman Marrie: Yes, it is our standard bi-weekly meeting. Mr. Jeff Sturgeon: Thank you. Councilman Limpert: Mr. President. Just to be clear, that is up to the Chair whether the public actually speaks. It is usually just the committee, but obviously the public is welcome to attend. Council President Brossard: Thank you. Ms. Joyce Murphy: My name is Joyce Murphy. I live in North Olmsted. I have lived there for 38 years. Council President Brossard: I am sorry, can you give us your address, please? Ms. Joyce Murphy: 4245 Plumwood Drive. For the first time, I have called the property maintenance complaint number. I have a neighbor on my street who unloaded a U-Haul-It and threw trash all over the front lawn. I asked what could be done about this because it is not the first time this has happened. They told me that, the person in the office said, that they would send out a letter. It was on a Friday. They would not get it until Monday. By the time the person had a chance to read it, the trash would be picked up by then, so it was not worth the time sending it. My whole idea is that you cannot have your garbage out until the night before. I only asked that somebody from the city would go out there. I see black cars with the City of North Olmsted riding up and through the neighborhoods, and I wanted them to go and say, could you take your garbage and put it back in your garage until Wednesday, when it is trash pickup day. I had to look at that garbage for two weeks because they put so much out there. The people you contracted with, whoever you have contracting to pick up our garbage, will only take so much in the blue and the green bin, and then they will only take six other pieces, so they left the trash there. I had to look at that or two weeks. Not only that, we have a lovely street, because the city is letting them get away with leaving their garbage there for two weeks, the people across the street on a Sunday put their trash out, and then they let it there for five days. I thought we had an Ordinance that said you can't put your trash out until the night before. So I'm asking you guys what's going to happen about this. I mean, I'm not the only person who lives on Plumwood who is upset about this, but no one else would come. So here I am, and I want to know what can be done. Mayor Jones: Mr. President. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. Our Safety Director is here who oversees our Building and Property Maintenance Division. If you wouldn't mind, if she could talk with you right now and get the information, get the dates and times that this happened and the addresses, and we will make sure that we are on top of that.
